What you get

One plan for the buildings you are responsible for

  1. One plan

Every roof, floor and parking deck across your sites in one list, ranked by condition and risk.

  2. One point of contact

One person for assessments, scopes, scheduling and warranty records, across every building.

  3. A budget by year

Recommended work laid out by year, so capital requests match what each building needs.

  4. Restore or replace

Each roof, floor and deck gets its own call. Restore where it qualifies, replace where it does not.

Three surfaces

Above, below and outside the building

Roofs

Flat and low-slope roofs: condition assessment, drone thermal scan, repairs, and restoration with a seamless roof coating where the roof qualifies.

Roof coatings

Floors

Resinous and urethane cement floors for production, washdown and warehouse areas, planned around your shutdown windows.

Industrial flooring

Parking decks

Traffic coatings for parking and pedestrian decks that take de-icing salt and freeze-thaw, phased by level or section where the deck allows.

How the plan comes together

Assess, prioritize, decide, budget.

  1. Condition assessment. We walk each site and record the condition of the roofs, floors and parking decks. The roof assessment is free, and so is one thermal roof scan per company or group, for a qualifying commercial or industrial flat roof.
  2. Prioritize. Work is ranked by risk to the building and the operation, so the urgent items come first and cosmetic work waits.
  3. Restore or replace. Each asset gets a recommendation. Compare paths with the restoration vs. replacement estimator and the restoration vs. replacement guide.
  4. Budget across years. The plan spreads the work by year. Use the 30-year lifecycle cost planner and the portfolio planning guide with your own bids.

After the work, the roof maintenance program keeps each roof on a yearly schedule. Uniflex, one of the systems RC Coatings installs, offers 10, 15, and 20-year labor and materials warranties, subject to the written warranty terms.

Corporate manufacturing

Several plants, one standard.

For corporate facility directors over multiple plants, we apply the same assessment and the same ranking at every site, so you can compare buildings side by side and plan roof and floor work around each plant's production and shutdown windows. See manufacturing and manufacturing roof portfolios.

RC Coatings is Utah-based, taking on large projects nationwide. Outside Utah, we take on large roof, floor and parking deck projects only.

Questions

Facility director questions

Can one assessment cover several buildings or plants?+

Yes. Book the first site and list the others in the notes. We plan the walk order with you, and each roof, floor and parking deck gets its own findings.

Do you handle roofs, floors and parking decks with one point of contact?+

Yes. One point of contact covers assessments, scopes, scheduling and warranty records for roofs, floors and parking decks across your sites.

Can you help with yearly budgets and capital planning?+

Yes. We lay out the recommended work by year from the assessment findings, so capital requests line up with what each building needs. Final pricing comes from a written scope for each building.

How do you decide what to fix first?+

We rank work by risk to the building and the operation. Active leaks, wet roof insulation, slab damage that affects safety or sanitation, and deck damage from de-icing salt and freeze-thaw come first. Cosmetic work waits.

Do you always recommend restoration?+

No. Restoration is a candidate when a roof is mostly dry and will take a coating, or when a floor or deck can be repaired and recoated. When a roof, floor or deck is at the end of its life, we recommend replacement and say so.

Do you work outside Utah?+

Yes, on large projects. RC Coatings is Utah-based and takes on large roof, floor and parking deck projects nationwide. Smaller jobs stay in Utah.

What is free?+

The roof assessment is free, and so is one thermal roof scan per company or group, for a qualifying commercial or industrial flat roof. With several buildings, only one roof's scan is free, and additional roofs are quoted on the call.

Start with the first site

Book a roof or floor assessment for the first building. List the other sites, and any parking decks, in the notes field and we will plan the walk order with you. Questions? Call (801) 515-3812.
